Frequently asked questions
Parking
If you’re camping, you’ll need to park your car in the main camping parking lot. Event staff will help you get your camping gear to the event. If you’re bringing an RV, trailer, or vehicle over 20 feet long (including any attached trailer), you’ll need to get an RV/Trailer pass. We do not allow sleeping in your car in the parking lots (no car camping).
Guests staying in cabins can park at their cabins. Day pass guests will park in the Lodge parking lot. All tickets, camping passes, RV passes and day parking passes will be good for the duration of the event (Friday afternoon through Sunday morning).
Tickets
Buy your tickets here! Lots of options and additional info on the ticket page.
The fastest way to get into Sierragrass is to print or have your PDF ticket ready on your phone before you arrive at your designated parking area. Parking attendants will check for tickets and issue wristbands. You must have a wristband to enter the festival!
Limited Entry/Check-In Times
You can only arrive at the event on Friday between 3 PM and 9 PM or Saturday between 9 AM and 2 PM. This is to make sure the volunteers who check you in also have time to enjoy the event.
No Lining Up Before Gates Open
Do not line up on Opah Drive before the gates open at 2 PM on Friday! If you arrive early, please hang out in Oakhurst and wait until 3 PM. South Gate Brewing Company and Idle Hour Winery are nice places to spend some time.
Camping & RV Access
Campers can arrive starting at 3pm on Friday, May 9. There won’t be any music on Sunday May 11 so you’ll need to pack up and leave by 12 PM. This is part of our contract with Madera County.
If you’re coming in an RV or staying in a cabin, you can also arrive starting at 3pm on Friday and depart by noon on Sunday, May 11. If you’re a day use parking pass holder, you can arrive at 5pm on Friday (music starts at 6pm).
Food & Drink
At Sierragrass you’ll find a wide variety of food vendors and food trucks to choose from. Sierra Meadows will also be providing beer, wine, and other drinks for purchase. You can bring your own alcohol to drink in the camping/RV/cabin areas, but please don’t bring drinks into the venue. Staffers at the gates will be checking bags to make sure no alcohol comes in or out.
To make food & beverage purchases, bring a credit card because Sierragrass only accepts cashless payments.
Can I bring my dog/parakeet/snake?
Sorry, to make sure everyone - including your pet - stays safe, no pets are allowed at the event.
Fire Safety
Fire safety is super important to us, so don’t start any campfires. If you do, you’ll be asked to leave the event. And you’ll be held responsible for any damage or injuries caused by your fire, no matter how it started.
